A GAME OF THRONES

I am a casting director currently searching for somebody to play an important role in a major American television series called A GAME OF THRONES based on the best-selling fantasy novel by George R R Martin. The company behind the series is the American cable channel HBO who were also behind ‘Sopranos’, ‘Six Feet Under’ and ‘The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency’, amongst others. The director is Tom McCarthy who recently directed ‘The Visitor’, in which his unknown leading actor, Richard Jenkins, was nominated for an Oscar. Initially we will be making a pilot episode and further episodes and seasons will very likely follow. We are looking to cast the following character: - Khal Drogo, 30, is a powerful warlord of the Dothraki with a huge, physically imposing physique and commanding presence. A savage, nomadic, tribal nation of riders who raid and pillage across the great continent east of Westeros. He is a rugged, primal and virile warrior who has never been defeated in battle and is both loved and feared by his followers, who are known as his khalasar. The exiled princess Daenerys Targaryen is his new bride but communication between them proves difficult, as Drogo doesn’t speak the Common Tongue (English). Note: Drogo and his Dothraki people form a distinct race, ethnically different from the natives of Westeros (who are Caucasian) .
