Tiny Tigers Karate
Children from 4 years to 9 years
Monday and Thursdays 5pm to 6pm.
Tiny Tigers Karate is geared around children from the age of 4 years to 9 years.
Our Karate for Kids is called Tiny Tigers program. The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages of a mature 4 to 9 years of age. This program offers a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve the children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with our Dragons Karate program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. Just like in the Dragons Karate program, Tiny Tigers have their own unique victory patch and Victory Stars. Stars are earned in the same way as the Dragons Karate program, with slight modifications in recognition of the preschool age of the child. Four different victory patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Tiny Tiger.
Dragons Karate
Children from 9 years to 12 years.
THURSDAY 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Our Dragons Karate program is designed for children from 9 years to 12 years. If qualified, students may start the Dragons class as early as 7 years old. In these classes the students learn the fundamentals of karate, which are the basics for a lot of activities. Balance, coordination, control and timing are just a few of the physical elements the students learn. Mentally, the students learn about focus, self-discipline, respect and teamwork.
The Dragons class is used as a springboard to our regular curriculum classes. Individuals will graduate from this program when the instructor feels the student is ready to move on. Once the student has moved on, they generally are a better beginner student because of the solid fundamentals taught in the Dragons class.
